Welcome to the first episode of Exit Interviews, the podcast all about New Jersey – America's Greatest State. My name is David Piegaro, I grew up in Central Jersey, in Ewing and I'm living in Jersey City.

This is the first episode of this podcast and we are starting out strong. My guest needs little introduction. Chris Christie served as New Jersey's 55th Governor from 2010 to 2018. Prior to that he was the U.S. Attorney for New Jersey, where he prosecuted more than 130 public officials. He was undefeated in that endeavor, securing 130 convictions and 0 acquittals. He's run for President twice, served as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, and is one of the most consequential and candid voices in American politics.

About the Guest

Chris Christie served as the 55th Governor of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018. Before his governorship, he was the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey from 2002 to 2008, where he built an undefeated record prosecuting public corruption cases. A Newark native, Christie has been one of the most prominent political figures to emerge from the Garden State in recent decades. He has run for President twice and served as chairman of the Republican Governors Association.
